We are thrilled to announce that July 20th, 2024 marks Verdis Group’s 15th year in business! Since 2009, we have been committed to making climate action that counts, and this milestone is a huge moment in our journey of growth.

In 2009, Verdis Group began as an idea in a coffee shop. In July of that year, Craig Moody and Daniel Lawse founded Verdis Group and started to build a team of sustainability experts to catalyze climate action. Since then, Verdis Group has grown from a two-person team in Omaha, Nebraska to a highly experienced group of sustainability experts who live all over the continental United States.

Over the past 15 years, we’ve worked with over 100 clients in a variety of industries – zoos and aquariums, museums, health care, education, financial services, architecture and engineering, cultural institutions, municipalities, and more.

In 2023, we earned B Corp status, joining more than 6,700 certified B Corporations leading the way in a global movement to use business as a force for good.  

We have also maintained long-lasting relationships with several clients with whom we’ve been partnering for years, including the Metropolitan Airport Commission (Minneapolis/St. Paul), the University of Nebraska Medical Center/Nebraska Medicine, Nebraska Methodist Health System, and First National Bank of Omaha, to name just a few.

We’ve helped 42 organizations set Net Zero targets or other reduction targets. When these targets are met, over 547,775 metric tons of CO2 equivalent emissions will be avoided in 2050 alone. That amount is equivalent to 71,435 homes’ energy use for one year!
