Dane County Selected for LOVErdis 2026
Verdis Group is excited to announce that we have selected two organizations as our 2026 LOVErdis recipients! Our first winner is Dane County, located in Wisconsin. (Stay tuned to find out who our second winner is!)
What is LOVErdis?
We created this program in 2019 as a mechanism to allow community organizations to tackle some of their biggest sustainability challenges for free. Previous LOVErdis winners include Frist Art Museum, Nemours Childrens Health, Joslyn Art Museum, and Habitat for Humanity Omaha. Learn more about our LOVErdis program at our Impact Dashboard.
A county that’s ready for resilience
Kathy Kuntz, Director of the Office of Energy & Climate Change at Dane County, said the organization is excited about the opportunity to strengthen resilience.
“We are honored to be selected as a LOVErdis recipient. The Dane County Office of Energy & Climate Change is committed to achieving a carbon-neutral future while building a strong, resilient Dane County, and in both those endeavors, we maintain a focus on those who are most vulnerable or underserved. We are excited about this opportunity to engage our community in co-creating solutions that strengthen our collective resilience.”
Kathy Kuntz, Director, Office of Energy and Climate Change at Dane County

Verdis Group and the Office of Energy and Climate Change (OECC) will co-develop a community resilience framework approach. This project will bridge the gap between a vulnerability analysis and localized action.
Daniel Lawse, Principal and Chief Century Thinker at Verdis Group, explained that the company feels a deep obligation to give back to the communities that support Verdis.
“Resilience is built through connection across living systems, and Dane County’s Office of Energy and Climate Change genuinely understands the interconnections of serving the people, businesses, and organizations that call Dane County home. Co-creating a community resilience framework alongside them is exactly the kind of work LOVErdis was made for—and we’re honored to give our time to it.”
Daniel Lawse, Principal and Chief Century Thinker, Verdis Group
The project is set to kick off with the Verdis project team and Dane County’s Office of Energy and Climate Change later this year.
