LOVErdis: Omaha and Lincoln Nonprofits Invited To Apply For Free Net Zero Pathway
Once a year, the Verdis Group team offers one lucky nonprofit the opportunity to tackle some of their sustainability challenges. After helping the Joslyn Art Museum reduce their waste in 2019, this year we’re bringing the focus to greenhouse gas emissions!
Recent scientific reports including from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change highlight the urgency to reduce emissions in order to cap global temperature rise at 1.5°C. To help your organization act on this decisive issue, we will develop a full strategy for how you can achieve Net Zero emissions, which includes:
1. Kick-off meeting
2. Collect all relevant information (utility bills, building details, employee commuting, etc.)
3. Prepare greenhouse gas inventory
4. Strategy workshop
5. Model our Net Zero Pathway with recommendations for reducing emissions
6. Present findings to key staff and partners
Interested nonprofits can submit their application here. (It’s short and simple!) Forms must be submitted by 5 p.m. on November 24, 2021. We will make an award by December 15, 2021.
Other terms and conditions: Only nonprofits in the Omaha and Lincoln metro areas are eligible. Our services are FREE but any future costs are the responsibility of the nonprofit (and some costs may be covered by the Nebraska Environmental Trust grant).
We are excited to give back to the communities that have been so supportive of us over the years. Now let’s strive for Net Zero!
